“AKASH is the pioneer of Direct to Home (DTH) digital satellite service in Bangladesh. It is a brand of Beximco Communications Limited.”

BCB has been struggling with sponsors since last year, even before the pandemic had started rage in Bangladesh. The Tigers were without any kit sponsors during the first Test against Pakistan in Rawalpindi.

After the deal with Unilever ended in January last year, Akash DTH sponsored Bangladesh in the home series against Zimbabwe. The men’s national side had not played a single international game since then.

BCB was struggling with broadcasting partners as well. They have decided to sell broadcasting rights series by series. T Sports and Nagorik Television bought the rights for West Indies after Ban Tech had acquired the deal at a huge sum of money.
